RECEIPTHUB

Privacy Policy

Last updated August 28, 2026

ReceiptHub (“we”, “us”) is a small, independent project run by Sluggish-Dev. This page explains what data the site processes, what it stores, and how third-party services like Google Analytics and Google AdSense use cookies here.

What ReceiptHub does with your input

When you type a GitHub handle and print a receipt, that handle is sent to our server, which queries GitHub’s public API for that account’s public activity (commits, pull requests, issues, stars, repositories, followers, and languages) and returns it to your browser to render. We do not create accounts, do not require sign-in, and do not store the handles people look up anywhere — each request is handled and discarded. Only public GitHub data is ever used; private repositories and private contributions are not accessible to this tool for anyone.

If you use the Download PNG or PDF buttons, the image/PDF is generated entirely in your own browser and saved to your device — it is never uploaded to or stored on our servers.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic to this site — things like page views, approximate location, device type, and referral source. Google Analytics uses cookies to do this. We don’t combine this data with anything that identifies you personally, and we don’t tie it to the GitHub handles you look up.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, or manage your ad personalization preferences directly at Google Ads Settings.

Advertising

This site may display advertisements served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies (including the DoubleClick DART cookie) to serve ads based on your visits to this site and other sites on the internet. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings or www.aboutads.info/choices. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Third parties this site relies on

  • GitHub — public API used to fetch the activity shown on a receipt. See GitHub’s own privacy statement.
  • Vercel — hosting and infrastructure.
  • Google — Analytics and (where enabled) AdSense advertising.

Data retention

We don’t operate a database for this site. Nothing you type into the username field is persisted after your request completes.

Children’s privacy

ReceiptHub is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Your rights

Because we don’t store personal data beyond what third-party analytics/ad providers collect on their own systems, there’s little for us to access, export, or delete on our end. For anything related to Google Analytics or AdSense data specifically, the opt-out links above are the most direct route. For any other question about this policy, email us — details below.

Changes to this policy

We may update this page from time to time as the site changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent update.
